Once upon a time in The Heights. Sometime around 1979 or early 1980. There was a battle that was about to take place at the Highbridge pool. It was during the winter, so the pool was empty and no was was there to watch over who was coming in and out or the premises. The battle that was going to take place was between The Uptown Crazy Crew / Rock City Rockers vs Rockers Revenge / Ball Busters. This battle that was supposed to happen drew some of the best bboys from the Heights and Harlem. I have to say, the intense pressure as well as the threat of violence was at a serious all time high on that day. If you could smell the possibility of death about to happen, it was definitely in the air. If you were there and you remember what happened, feel free to drop your memories of it. The battle never happened, because both sides were more about posturing and the threat of violence was off the chain. Im lucky and glad that both sides, for what ever reason, went out separate ways.
