One day a leaf saw other leaves floating from place to place and decided that would be fun. So the leaf said to the tree it grew on, i dont need your sap anymore. See how pretty i am? I can take care of myself. I want to be free like the other leaves. The leaf detached itself from the tree and floated in the breeze to the ground. It made many friends with other leaves and went from place to place. Life seemed to be very Exciting. But One day the leaf noticed that its beautiful color was beginning to disappear and brown spots were developing. Days later, all its surface had turned brown and life wasnt exciting anymore. Some of its friends had already died. And it was beginning to feel sick. It didnt float from place to place anymore. It had been put into a pile with other leaves. And it wasnt long until it was dead & burned up by fire. MORALS- The leaf in the story thought it would be great to be free and do what it wanted. But it found out that it was fun only 4 a while & ended in destruction. There are occasions when we young people reject help from our parents and others. We fill we ar big enough now & can succeed on our own. But later we found out that this was not the wise course 2 follow, and we have returned home, for help and love we needed. There is a time for everything. Dont just cut off from your source because you feel you now have it all. Remain connected to them.
