One last post, as it pertains to the drug posting. Speaking of old buildings, this was our family drug distribution center on Hotel St, near Phillipsons. Though this is a fairly recent picture, the tall 5 story section dates back to the Civil War. It is all wood and brick with no steel. The wood beams were about 12 x 12. It had all exposed brick walls and wood plank floors. The rain pipes to drain the roof ran inside the building so as not to freeze. It had a five story freight elevator that was water powered. No electricity needed. Amazing, as I remember using it quite a bit. A lot of old gems downtown. The H.K. Hineline Co.
