One of my many unbelievably cool Facecrack buddies, Jef, recently posted that he needed some cute kitten / sloth / panda pics for therapeutic purposes (I paraphrase). Well so do I. Im nearing the end of one phase of my life and am incredibly happy and excited for the new beginning, but am also a little freaked out and sad to be leaving behind some things that I really love. New York is my favorite city in the world, Harlem is the coolest, friendliest neighborhood Ive ever lived in and my American friends.... Where do I start? What can I say to express this anticipatory grief at moving so far away from so many people I love? Not least of which are my best friend, Antje, her son, my beloved nephew, Joshua, and my dog, Perry. (Perry will be following me to NZ, but not for another 6 months - New Zealand bio-security is no joke!) Ive done it before, in fact its been the story of my life, but its difficult. Im crying as I type this, just thinking about it all. I could really use some upliftingness right about now....
