One of the anglers who landed the 1,323 lb. mako shark off CA this week described the animal as “a gigantic nightmare swimming around looking to wreak horrible terror on anything it comes across”. However, as shark expert Jim Abernethy confirmed when he encountered a 600 lb. mako UNDERWATER last year, makos & other sharks are more curious than blood thirsty. In this video, a mako passes within feet of an unsuspecting Jim, but keeps swimming without giving him so much as a 2nd look – even though it was in FULL HUNTING MODE chasing after a hooked blue marlin.
