One of the employees of my university with whom I held constant interaction when I was dean of the faculty of international studies, got married today. Marriage clebrant asked the bride and groom to read their respective oaths of marriage. The groom said , he would love his wife endlessly and say I love you to her everyday. The bride said, she would start the day with smiles and end the day with smiles, and give her husband love, encouagement and understanding. The celebrant said that there are some essential ingridients of happy marriage. A for acceptance of every aspect of each others background, past lffe, present pursuit and future deams. B for belief in each other, C for care for each other, D for dialogue, talkiing to each other, E for encouagement and F for pledge to be life-long best friends. In Korea bride and groom and their paents come to all the tables to thank the guests. You can see the bride and groom. You can also see me again ( again and again...I and most of the fb users believe more you see us merrier you are) sitting with one of my retired colleages.
