One of the fullest days we have had, so much for the resting....Started at Naples going to the old home of Maries mum and the church she was married in, very emotional to stand in the footsteps. It was then up Mount Vesuvius, what power this thing had and still has, then lunch at a well known local Naples restaurant run by you know who....Hey Vinnie get me my juices. Feeling refreshed and somehow robbed we then headed off to the ruins of Pompei. What an awesome site to stand in the location and actually see how close Vesuvius is, one has no choice but to feel uncomfortable and very sad knowing that the population of Pompei in 97AD had no chance whatsoever. Locals say it last erupted back in 1944 but it was only little. Once finished, it was time to head back to the hotel,very scenic views of Sorrento and the island etc, then change and head out again to do what we do best walk the streets, eating hot chips with pepper sauce and then followed by ice-cream, FANTASTIC. Tomorrow we are going by car to the home town of my brother in-law Calabria really looking forward to this because there is one restaurant in a cave that we want to eat at and of course see other sights............
