One of the hardest part of working with preschoolers is this time of year, when a ton of our kids leave at once and move on to the big bad world of kindergarten. Its always sad but today was without question the hardest day Ive had. Anyone who really knows me knows how easy it is for me to not get attached but there is one little boy who stole my heart from day one. When we started working together he spent our entire session kicking, screaming, spitting and crying in the corner. Less than a year later he moved on to the inclusive preschool classroom, following the rules and routine, independently playing with his peers, regulating his emotions, and now kindergarten. ❤️ man, getting attached sucks.
