One of the main problems in currently practised Ayurveda is that humanistic elements are over stressed in its clinical practice. Instead of Medicial Science Ayurveda is currently taught as Moral Scienceor Philosophy , and the indepth scientific theories and principles for on the target application is explained in the same is abandoned owing to the abundance in knowledge and poor comprehension . Medical students are more taught regarding how to amuse the patient instead of cureand attempt to make him relaxed for the entire period as long as the patient stays with him . If there is no firm undertaking of Basic Science of Ayurveda in clinical practice, a group of doctors will be borne who are good in holding hands of the patients and talking philosophy to them , but never cure them. If medicos cannot spend their time for Basic Science of Ayurveda which ONLY provides the knowledge and skill base which is inevitably advocated to become competent physicians, they should not become physicians . A good physician must use Basic Science based practice to be able to recognise what is only the best for his patient and how .
