One of the nice memories of the tour was after a show in Slovakia, I was meeting some of my supporters and greeting them. After I had finished greeting the last of those who came to speak with me, these two honey muffins came up and sat next to me at the table. These are the type of honey muffins that come from a glass display case of admiration, and absolutely the sweetest hearts you could ever imagine. After talking for a while, the three of us went back to drop my gear off at the hotel, and then went for a walk around the town at 1am. They were trying to think of parts of the city they could show me, and I suggested, Hey, are there any places with swings around here? Swings? they replied, you mean like (does a motion to mimic swinging on a swing set). I was like, YES!! THAT!! What do you call those in Slovakian? Hojdačka one of the muffins said. So I proceeded to follow them to a park in the town of Nitra where we all went on the swing set at 1am. It was great. The type of innocent fun that brings backs memories of the days when the ringing bell of the ice cream truck was the most exciting part of the day. It was definitely a song provoking moment. Most likely a happy 12 string guitar song considering the custom work on my 12 string is almost complete.
