One of those random questions I’d like to get off my mind … okay I haven’t worn a wristwatch at least since the ‘90s and don’t intend to. I have about 10 watches in my drawer from the days when I did wear them and some were very expensive back then. Again, not that I have any interest in buying one but I keep seeing ads for a brand called Stuhrling and it just makes me curious. They are always shown with some outrageous “list” price but on sale for the price of a Timex. The name itself sounds like a ripoff of the word “sterling” to make it sound important. I’ve googled the name and can’t find one thing about any history like Rolex, TAG Heuer, or Patek Philippe. Anybody know if this is just “As Seen On TV” hype or a real brand name?
