One thing thats staying on my mind from the article I posted earlier is the term stereotype threat - something very, very familiar that I didnt know had a name. Its the fear that something you do will reinforce negative stereotypes or confirm others negative beliefs about you. Gosh, is this a pervasive source of internalized crazy crapola and mental exhaustion or what? I think about it a lot, anyway.
