One to toil over. The Prophet s uncle was told that his nephew Muhammad was a Prophet by his mark. This is when the Prophet was still a boy and with the caravan to Syria. However the Prophet did not know till he was 39 and the angel visited him. So they kept it from him even until they kept it from themselves when they fought against him knowing who he was.I may be wrong. Also I doubt he never heard of Judaism and Christianity being that his Uncle through Khadija was a Christian and verified his prophecy after Gabriel came to him. Along with his merchant en devours and own personality of deep intelligence and wonder of Allah, i think unlearned Just meant that he could not read. But through pointing to the Torah to show the Jewish people the Law they were seeking, he must have learned at least how to read Hebrew, And i dont think that it at all takes anything away from the Prophets story but sheds maybe some light if at all true?
