One week from today is graduation. One week from today, the culmination of my undergraduate college experience will occur. From the first day I moved on campus filled with SOSers in orange shirts, Carmichael Hall Staff signing me in, and collecting WAY to much random free stuff at Conway Daze, to slowly realizing that college was going to be much harder than I anticipated, to the decision to change my major, to meeting incredible, truly amazing people; from meetings, to events, to parties; from tests, to quizzes, to the dreaded pop quizzes; from the beauty of UCA in springtime to slogging through the virtual lakes that occur when it rains; from classes, to clubs, to honor societies; from professors that I loved, to professors that...I didnt like so much; from being totally enamored with cafeteria food to forcing myself to eat there twice a week; from mornings-to afternoons-to evenings in the library; from loving my American History course to barely surviving Chemistry; from smiles, to laughs, to tears, and back to laughs; from Estes Stadium (where I watched 1/2 a football game) to the intramural fields (where I watched many a soccer game); from being a resident to managing 46; from Carmichael Hall to Short/Denney; from happy to sad to virtually depressed; from chill (only lasted first couple months of freshmen year) to moderately stressed to full blown stressed; from class to class; hall to hall; person to person; UCA has become more than just my university, it has become my home. A place where I have learned SO much about the world and even more about myself. I have been challenged in ways I never expected, I have learned lessons I didnt even know I needed to learn, I have been inspired in ways that will last a lifetime. Thank you UCA for welcoming me with open arms, giving me tools to succeed, and helping me find my way. One week from today, I will say goodbye. One week from today a new chapter will begin. But I will remember with joy (and occasionally with pain), but mostly with gratitude all the weeks that came before this one. Those are the weeks, the days, the hours that have brought me to these final moments and this most exciting time.
