One would wish for an end to the eons of gods and demons if only one were certain that the excuse for non-critical thinking would not come from another source. The vast majority of the faithful are not fighting other faiths, but working with them and non-believers alike to be better people and make the world a better place. I do not apologize for those whom depend on a narrow interpretation of a religion as an excuse for the most hateful of actions. That serves well no god that I know of. Rather, I am inspired by those who are filled with kindness, generosity, and honor by their faiths. That informs the possibility of a benevolent creator waiting beyond this consciousness.
