One year ago today I reported to the missionary training center (MTC) and began my service as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. If theres one lesson I have learned thus far it is this: turning to the Lord and relying on Him makes me(us) happy. All the trials/struggles/issues/drama/problems/heartaches/etc we face can be made right if we but only allow him room in our hearts and lives. One of my favorite scriptures is an invitation from the Savior to each and every one of us and teaches that very lesson. In Matthew 11:28-30 it states: 28 ¶Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Life can be hard sometimes, but as we allow Jesus Christ to improve our lives and take upon his yoke we shall find rest.
