One year ago today began as what felt like one of the worst days of my life, but quickly turned out to be one of the best. I was sad and just finished moving back into my beaches home, while my handsome next door neighbour was also having a crappy day and invited me over to be sad with him over some “homemade” salad and wine. Some delicious bagged salad, boxed wine and goth stompy dancing later, I was apparently smitten because I accidentally moved in with him on that first date. Someone once told me that they found that relationships that move fast naturally are the ones that tend to be the most successful, I hope that is true because then we are set. I love you so much David Ashby. Even after a year, it still amazes me everyday how I can love you this much and yet it still keeps growing. Thank you for being there for me through the crappy times and taking care of me when I needed and for being my best friend who has taught me so much. Thank you for crying through every Dr. Who episode that we have watched and for being the crazy silly dude that you are so I can feel safe being my normal weird self and for crying over stupid things like your beautiful face. I cannot wait to spend the next year, and pretty much forever with you.
