Online skiing videos look pretty much the same, with a skier ripping though virgin powder or sailing off a steep ledge. But the new film Afterglow is different. In fact, declares NoFilmSchool, it may be the most visually stunning ski video ever. Wired has a behind-the-scenes look at how the skiing auteurs at Sweetgrass Productions created the 12-minute video, working at night with skiers wearing green suits festooned with LED lights. Co-director Nick Waggoner says the goal was to “re-invent” the genre. Mission accomplished.
