Ooooooh, great!! Just what I wanted,......NOT! Severe Weather Alerts Callaway Special Statement: Issued at: 4:24 am CST on December 3, 2013, expires at: 4:00 PM CST on December 03, 2013 ◦...Potential for accumulating snow and ice Thursday through Friday... An Arctic airmass will build south into the region Wednesday and Wednesday night behind a strong cold front. Several upper level disturbances will force precipitation back over this cold air producing a mix of winter precipitation types including freezing rain, sleet and snow across the southern half of Missouri and Illinois Thursday and Thursday night. Over time, as the cold air continues to push south and deepen, the precipitation will gradually become all snow on Friday. At this time, predominantly snow is expected from Columbia Missouri northeast to Litchfield Illinois. A mix of sleet and snow is expected south to near Farmington Missouri, with a mix of rain, freezing rain and sleet from Farmington south. Light accumulations of sleet, snow, and ice are expected before the precipitation tapers off Thursday evening. Additional accumulations are likely on Friday, especially over parts of southeast Missouri and southwest Illinois.
