Open Your Home, Expand Your World - Host an International Youth in 2014! WorldChicago seeks volunteer host families for international students and mentors in the 2014 U.S. Department of States Pan-Africa Youth Leadership Program from Thursday, March 27 to Friday, April 4. The 8-day program will focus on civic engagement, leadership, diversity, and community engagement, with special emphasis on youth entrepreneurship and employment. You and your family can play a memorable part in our students exchange experience by welcoming them into your home and introducing them to American family life. Home hosts provide youth with a bed, breakfast, and most dinners. Youth will participate in program activities Monday-Friday from approximately 9 to 5, with evenings and weekends free to spend with host families. WorldChicago will receive three African delegations of 24 participants each in the spring, summer, and fall. If spring doesnt work for your schedule, our second delegation arrives in June, and the third, French-speaking delegation in October.
