The main duties will be to help enable the company to achieve its objectives by taking forward initiatives, providing direction, and ensuring professional guidance and support on matters relating to its employees. The successful candidate will provide a generalist HR service, advising and supporting operational managers on HR issues to enable the achievement of business objectives using best practice HR techniques and procedures Responsibilities Resourcing Provide advice and services on the recruitment and selection of staff including producing adverts, terms and conditions document, and quality checking shortlists, interviewing and making job offers. Employee Relations Provide first line advice on operational employment matters such as conditions of service and employment policies Pension administration of the relevant areas, including starters and leavers and changes for all staffing. Act as support to investigating officers in respect of disciplinary, capability and grievance investigations when appointed to do so by the Head of HR. Act as support for other casework processes such as flexible working and sickness policy. Ensure that CIPHR (HR computer system), the budget spreadsheet and the Single Central Record are accurate and up to date with all changes and new starters/leavers etc for your area. Learning and Development Deliver relevant Human Resources training and development activities as required Candidate essentials You will need to have a Graduate level CIPD or equivalent or nearing completion of this qualification. You will need to have recent experience, within the past 3 years working in a generalist HR environment. You will also need to have working knowledge of using computerized HR systems. You will also need to have experience within recruitment and interviewing candidates. You need to have an understanding of the key employment law issues and have a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (written, oral and listening). You will need to have the ability to use IT in the workplace specifically Windows packages (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Powerpoint) you must be confidence to challenge inappropriate behavior or practice.
