Opportunity I have been going to a home Wed. evening Sunday - TopicsExpress

Opportunity I have been going to a home Wed. evening Sunday Keeper Bible study that do use their Bibles. I also go to a Saturday morning Mens (Ah -hmm) Bible Study at 1 of the largest Sunday Churches in my immediate area. Ive been going so that I can inject a more Messianic perspective; after all Yahshua was said to be the friend of publicans & sinners – How can any of us hope to affect a change by playing keep away? I say Ah -hmm because the Bible is seldom opened. It has been frustrating for they use a preprepared memo sheet with preprepared situational questions aimed at topics such as Love, Forgiveness, Mercy, Giving, Gifts, Honor, etc. - todays topic was on Discipline. My main purpose for being there is to raise awareness of Covenant, Torah & Priesthood. As you may be aware of, they fashion their topics away from these areas. I do pray that Yah opens an opportunity to speak His Truth. As it happened the guy next to me spoke of the harsh authoritarian regimen of his father that would be tempered by the love of his mother. He went on to say that as he grew older he could see that if he only had his mother – that he would have run over her; I could use that! I told these men that we always hear of grace, love & mercy from the New Testament – that this approach is much like a nurturing mother. But – we have to remember that there was also grace, love & mercy even in the Old Testament that we usually think of as giving Law; that we would do well to see as a guiding father – that we need both. I then relayed something Josh McDowell had said, that – Law without Grace is Regimen – BUT – Grace without Law is licenses – that we need both. Then I told them the 1st verse I bothered to remember, because it was so Nose to Nose in your face – The way I remembered it was 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 – I could remember that – It was 1st John, 2nd Chapter, Verses 3, 4 & 5 1Jn 2:3 ¶ And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of Yah perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. And this for added measure 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. Of course that means Yahshua kept His Fathers will (Jn.7:16) The obvious is inescapable – So should we! Yahs Esteem
