Orcon thanks for your excellent service NOT I signed up 3 weeks - TopicsExpress

Orcon thanks for your excellent service NOT I signed up 3 weeks ago and since day one I have had nothing but issues and outages with my orcon genius landline and broadband, doesnt seem so genius after five outages in the space of three weeks As if that wasnt bad enough I got told yesterday the latest outage will take approximately 10 days to fix . Firstly I signed up to Orcon on the pretense that in early 2015 fiber would be installed in the area I had just moved to and the CSR assured me that fibre would and could be installed without any issue or extra costs to me following my initial credit check that was carried out at sign up, Now I find out that cause of my credit score Orcon will not install the fibre and I have to stick with the shitty ADSL one. ADSL Two PLus is available but the Orcon modem doesnt seem to sync with iit . I know for a fact from family who lived here prior to me with a different ISP they had no issues whatsoever for over 2 years with two seprate ISPs in that time . Why cant orcon just get things right? It seems Orcon dont understand that when people pay for a landline and broadband service they expect to have it working as smoothly as possible. The first one or two faults is understandable at sign up but for this to continue 3 weeks into the contract is beyond a joke. I find it very unfair that Orcon do not seem to honour the new service gurantee which I was told was introduced a one to two weeks after my sign up date and even though I am still currently within the first 30 days of my contract that they will not honour this. I have been promised numerous call backs from numerous team members be they managers, retention team or cancellations team and they never happen. Find it quite odd that they always seem to busy to take a call, its like there is only one person to manager such a large organization. I know this may look like a huge moan, but all I want is for the service I signed up for and am paying for to be working as it should. Is that too much to ask??? I am feeling fobbed off until my contract gets to the point where the 30 days service grantee will no longer apply as I will have been signed up with Orcon passed that time. I am beginning to thank Fair Go may be my next port of call as what Orcon seem to be doing does not seem to be a Fair Go. Whenever I have contacted Orcon to discuss this I am put through to an offshore call centre in The Philippines who I would expect given they are selling products and services in New Zealand would have to honour the Fair Trading Act to find out that the offshore CSR didnt have a clue what I was talking about was weird, I then asked to speak to the cancellations team, when I was finally put through to Daniel, he informed me that The Fair Trading Act does not apply to ISPs. Given Orcon told me at sign up that when fibre went live we would be able to connect without issues or any extra costs this was the ONLY reason I took the contract with Orcon I feel Orcon have misrepresented their product or services that they would provide me to get me signed on to a 12 month contract. I feel as if I am making a big fuss over a small issue, but all I want is for the service I am paying for to work as it should and if Orcon cannot provide that just let me out of the contract so I can find a service provider who can provide me with a working service that spend more time up than down. In regards to my landline service when its works the calls are bery distorted at the person I am calling end. I feel it would be easier to use a tin can and a bit of string or perhaps smoke signals be more effective. Since the time of signing with Orcon I have spent more time having to use my cellphone for both calling both national and local and also for data which has meant extra expense for me when I am already living on limited means due to health reasons. I maybe on limited income, but I still like to pay my bills as every other person does, I dont feel it is fair I am having to pay for a contract with Orcon and then have to have additional costs for calling and data use from my mobile because of Orcons
