Otis update August 2 Although I thought I would be in the kennel over the weekend, I’m lounging in the kitchen of a dog- and child-filled house. My temporary human (from here on out let’s call her TH) came today and paid my initial vet bill. TH couldn’t stand leaving me there and thought it would be a good idea to see how I behaved in a family. I did not disappoint (duh). I have met all four lovely ladies here. They are FIESTY. I have my eye on the black and tan coonhound, Big Ellie Mae, but she has thus far rebuked my advances. The Australian shepherd stole my first toy. She has redeemed herself only by her enthusiasm to play with me in the yard. The two little ones are loud. The dachshund was the first to welcome me, but the smallest dog is a vicious and wild animal. I have instructed my TH to enroll the hoodlum in Scared Straight. Immediately. It was pretty neat to meet TH’s friend. I call him TSH (temporary small human). He is a decent fellow, although it’s rude to continue to comment on the size of my head. Until tomorrow, friends.
