Our Daily Food for the Soul for yesterday, November 4, 2013: DESERTS - O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! Romans 11:33 -:- I do not understand why this is happening to me, Lord. But I choose to trust in You. Have You ever found yourself uttering that prayer? I have! Many mind-boggling things have come my way. Some of them are happily mind-boggling, but most of the unexplained situations belong to the challenging category. Some of these have already come to pass. And while I have been given wisdom in understanding them. I have to admit that some still remain a puzzle to me. Through the years, I have cried & even whined about them, tried rationalizing & analyzing them. But after years of learning with Jesus, I have learned quiet acceptance & expectant faith. And that has given me joy to go through the deserts in my life. It is a joy to know that God knows exactly what is happening. It is a joy to know that I can bear spiritual fruit though in the desert. It is a joy to know that God will see me through. I encourage you to recognize Gods love & sovereignty in the deserts of your life. -:-:-:- Lord, life can be difficult.
