Our Inside Llewyn Davis inspired folk discovery continues with Richard & Mimi Fariña. Richard was a protest singer in Greenwich Village in the 1960s. His song, Birmingham Sunday is one of his best known and is about the 16th Street Baptist Church Bombing in Alabama in 1962. In that same year, Fariña travelled to Europe in 1962 where he met Mimi Baez, who he soon married and later recorded with. Birmingham Sunday became better known after appearing in Spike Lees film 4 Little Girls when it was covered by Mimis big sister, Joan Baez.
