Our Royal Baby.. The past six years our small half-breed Yorkie Suzie births two fake babies. By that I mean she has a false pregnancy and bears the same two stuffed children from her play box. Kris made a decision year one her precious little daughter wouldn’t be fixed and be allowed the natural cycle of going through heat and whatever happens the result of that, hopefully no visible real babies. This has worked well for Suzie and us – no extra pups to find homes and we get to witness the sweet tender care and warmth our little sentry exhibits with her new breds. I love Suzie’s births because they come without formality or ceremony. Kris knows the date when the kids will arrive and bingo they magically appear and Suzie is in charge – toting both from couch to bed and back all day. Last night while watching the final episodes of the 2007 classic The Riches I felt my heart melt seeing her curled up to Kris with both kids under guarded protection and tender care. I punch in the news and notice there was no announcement of our royal occasion .. the event passed as the eleven previous in silence. Which brings me to this – Kate – please don’t have that baby today or tomorrow – Sunday is cool. We have a radio show tomorrow and great guests – music – J.P. Saxe – Amazing Race Canada etc.. if we have to spend four hours talking about this royal critter I will churn a hairball the size of earth and blow it out my ass. Ted was already asking what to name the child knowing it will be a girl and I suggested La Keisha – which put me on ignore – four hours of baby talk and smelly royals – that’s a formula for sour milk. Did I say how lovely and charming and sweet our stuffed royal babies have grown in a day?
