Our U14s were defeated by Wolfe Tones last evening in Edgesworthtown. Against a physically bigger and older team, our lads showed great spirit and determination throughout and never gave up at any stage of the game. We had a big squad present and all players got a proper run out on the night. We have a young u14 team with no less than eight U12 players in the squad and we are still building for the future. Two new players, Jack Kelly and Colm Dinnegan, made their debuts for Plunketts tonight and both players acquitted themselves extremely well. There is a long way to go yet and the players themselves realise they have to work really hard in training from here on in and stick together. The coaches are confident there is a good team developing from this group of young players. Training continues on Wednesdays at 7pm.
