Our consciousness is the sum of the whole shopping mall of things that came into being into our psyche.. including our learned hypocrisy, the beliefs, the never faced layers of our sub-psychologies, the stratuses of pettiness, and yes the joy and happiness as well, more or less real, more or less false, the greed, the power, the tricks and the games, and the despair, the sense of loneliness, shame guilt and regret.. more or less immotivated.. the various ghosts of striving for what we are and what we were not.. and over and over and over and over and so on.. You may doubt these observations.. pointing out the speaker/writer (which is not relevant at all).. but these observations are what you are.. what we all are.. what we all have been and will be.. So maybe you, we should doubt also your/our whole consciousness, not just the contents shared by the speaker/writer/thinker.. because otherwise your/our consciousness, which is the sum of all of these things, these confusions, these inabilities to distinguish whats fact and whats illusion.. your/our consciousness will sediment your/our mind.. shaping it into a lazy creature/s.. If you doubt your whole consciousness, not seeking for some truths whatsoever, nor for mystical bubbles, neither to become more conscious whatsoever which is as futile as stupid.. but rather by going intelligently deep into this matter .. then maybe what will be brought into being will be a radical psychological revolution.. the revolution through which the psyche can go beyond its own consciousness.. and see what perceptive psychology is all about.. which is that thing also known, (and always misunderstood), as intelligence..
