Our hearts are heavy today as we mourn the loss of an amazing foster dad. His unexpected death has touched each of us. We will forever be grateful for his willingness to help animals in need. He took in the sick dogs, mostly our heartworm positive dogs. He made countless trips to and from the vet. He bonded and fell in love with each dog he fostered, yet he selflessly let go as they moved on to forever homes. He particularly had a special bond with Dori, and contemplated adopting her. I remember our conversation about Dori and when he made the decision to let her go so he could take another dog in need. Please keep Garys family in your thoughts as they go through this very difficult loss. Gary, youre one in a million and you will forever be in our hearts. We will miss you and are thankful to have had you as a foster and member of our rescue team.
