Our own, Dustin Rinker of Riggins is about to set Carroll record! HELENA -- Dustin Rinker is just twelve yards from breaking the Carroll College record. This is going to be a huge move for his football career and you would think he would want to talk all about it. But, instead of talking about himself, he shifted the focus from himself to his teammates. That record is not something were focusing on, Senior Runningback Dustin Rinker said. Were focusing on doing what we need to do to win and if that is something that happens thats a cool thing but, its not something were focusing on. All it is, is a testament to coaches and my teammates over the last four years and especially to this team, this year. Dustin is the most humble guy youve ever met, I mean hes going to give the credit to everyone else but, hes done it for four years, Junior Quarterback Mac Roche said. He came here as a walk-on, he proved himself and he is just such an unbelievable teammate to be around so, he deserves every minute of the praise he gets. He deserves it, says Carroll College Head Football Coach Mike Van Diest. His work ethic, the dedication and passion he has for the game of football, the great teammate that he is. He will be the first one to tell you that it truly is a team effort and team acknowledgment because of the offensive line and all of the work that they put in to it. Rinker is ranked ninth in the NAIA in rushing yards and ranked sixth in scoring per game at just over 11 points per game. Lets see if he can bring the heat and break the record all this week when they are on the road against Montana Tech.
