Our team in Jordan is with our partners We Love Reading in the Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees. Today they visited our storytelling and read aloud program and worked side-by-side with the trained leaders and storytellers of the program. These extraordinary women are dedicated to using reading and storytelling as a tool to allow children to express their feelings and heal. Since launching our program, book borrowing has tripled in the camp and literacy leadership has taken on new meaning in the community. Our work in this region is ready to grow in powerful ways.
