Harrison County School District: Schools closed Wednesday. Harrison County offices: The Harrison County Board of Supervisors have closed ALL county office buildings to non-essential personnel on Wednesday. Please check with your department head to ensure of your position. Non-essential personnel should monitor news and weather via news media and the county web page for reporting instructions. Harrison County Justice Court: Closed Wednesday. Dockets for Wednesday will be rescheduled. Harrison County trash pickup: No solid waste collection Wednesday. Collection will begin Thursday, weather permitting. The areas that were missed Tuesday and will be missed Wednesday will be picked up as normal on Friday and Saturday. Ocean Springs trash pickup: City officials are asking residents who have Wednesday trash pick-up to hold it until Thursday. Residents with Thursday pick-up should hold their trash until Friday. All regularly scheduled trash collection should be back on a regular schedule by Saturday evening at the latest. Ocean Springs court: All hearings scheduled for Wednesday will be rescheduled. These VA facilities will be closed Wednesday. The Biloxi VA emergency room will be open. Memorial Hospital at Gulfport: The hospital, including the Emergency Department, will remain open; however, only inpatient and emergency surgeries will be performed Wednesday. Smoking Cessation classes are also canceled Wednesday. Memorial Immunization Van will not be operational until road conditions improve. Memorial Physician Clinics and Diagnostic Centers is scheduled to reopen Wednesday afternoon. The public is reminded Memorial Hospital is not a special needs shelter, and any such requests should be directed to home health agencies or call 865-4002 for shelter information. Humane Society of South Mississippi: Closed Wednesday. Lynn Meadows Discovery Center: Closed Wednesday. Mary C. OKeefe Cultural Center of Arts and Education: Closed Wednesday.
