Season Ten Overview: That was certainly one hell of a ride! As the Time Lords themselves are threatened from a being living inside a black hole, the Doctor has only two people who can help him. Himself! Reunited with his first two selves, the Doctor goes to meet the man who granted the Time Lords the power of time travel, the paranoid Omega, who wishes to be hailed as a God. Escaping this, along with the Brigadier and Benton seeing what on Earth the TARDIS is for the first time, the Time Lords give the Doctor a long overdue 10th anniversary birthday present; the power to travel the universe again! With a new dematerialisation circuit and his knowledge of time travel restored, the Doctor can now go anywhere, and on his first test run things certainly are obscure! Trapped in a device being run by carnival showmen who exploit many beings lives the Doctor and Jo face the Drashigs, and also are unaware of a poltical revolt on the behalf of the entertainment-dispising Minorans. War is on the horizon on the Doctor and Jos next trip as the Ogrons return and bring along with them the command of the Master, setting the empires of Earth and Draconia at each others throats! As the Master disapears in almost a puff of smoke, the Daleks a revealed as the ones behind it all, who are planning to strategically take over the universe! On the planet of Spirodon a group of Thals are send to stop the oncoming force of the Daleks, and whilst they partially suceed, they must always remember, Daleks are never defeated... On a return trip home the Doctor and Jo battle against the coorperate Global Chemicals, and theyre mad super computer BOSS, intent on creating an efficient computerised world of slavery, with giant maggots being the unhealthy by-product of pollution! Jo meets Clifford Jones, a man who is almost like a younger version of the Doctor, constantly fighting for peace and health, and as Jo helps him, he does helps her too, however serendipitous it may be. And so, as Jo becomes a woman in her own right, the Doctor leaves Cliff and her to theyre marriage, and just perhaps, Cliff may turn Jo into a scientist one day... The Doctor drives off in the distance, but theyre is no time for sadness, for the Doctor must always move on, for there are new friends and new adventures just waiting on the horizon... Stories this Season (Best to Worst) .Carnival of Monsters .Planet of the Daleks .The Green Death .Frontier in Space .The Three Doctors This took a lot of deliberation, with the top three stories near enough being all on par with each other because all three are simply magnificent, with the other two not at all far behind. In my opinion this season has to be one of the most well crafted the show has ever done, definetly one of the best seasons the show has ever made, appropriately the 10th year that its been on our screens!
