Our very own Ralph McMullen now is President of the First Nevada Unit of Parliamentarians & VP of the State group of Parliamentarians Nevada State Association of Parliamentarians Elect a New Board. Gail Knapp PhD, JD, PRP was elected President moving up from Vice President at the annual meeting of the Nevada State Association of Parliamentarians Saturday, November 1, 2014. Other officers elected were; Ralph McMullen, Vice President; Carolyn Maupin, Secretary; Jim Hindle as Treasurer; and Dollie McPartlin PRP who will remain on the board as the Past President. Ralph McMullen is also the President of the First Nevada Unit which holds it’s luncheon meeting on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 11:30am at the Best Western Airport Inn in Reno, Nevada. Carolyn Maupin is also the President of the Lake Mead Unit, which holds its meetings on the 1st Tuesday of each month at Findlay Toyota in Valley Automall in Henderson, Nevada. Jim Hindle is also the Treasurer of the First Nevada Unit in Reno, Nevada. Anyone who is interested in learning about Parliamentary Procedure is invited to attend. Parliamentary Procedures, like the Constitution, help to insure that while the majority rules; the voice of the individual is given the opportunity to persuade others to their way of thinking. The association exists for the purpose of promoting the use of parliamentary procedure in voluntary assemblies.
