Out of the Darkness Walk Planned Parishioners Neil and Laurie Kiely, who lost their son Ross to suicide on December 21, 2009, are Chairing the 2nd Annual East Bay and Aquidneck Island Out of the Darkness Community Walk sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The walk is a way to raise funds to increase awareness about suicide and help support research to help eliminate suicide. The Kiely’s mission is to help reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness, depression, anxiety and substance abuse with the hope that those in need will feel comfortable seeking help before its too late. The walk is also a wonderful way to honor and remember those who have died as a result of suicide. We would love to have your participation as a walker or donor: Sunday October 5 at Bristol Town Beach at Colt State Park. Registration 10:00am with leisurely walk stepping off at 11:00am.
