Over 620,000 lives saved since 1907 through Surf Life Saving Australia. An incredible volunteer movement, and it was an honour to represent the Prime Minister Tony Abbott and Minister for Sport Peter Dutton at the 2014 SLSA National Awards of Excellence this evening. Pictured here with President Graham Ford and Bob Powell of Umina SLSC (finalist for Assessor of the Year) and also Graham Ford with Zoe Tolley, who at just 7 years of age performed a brave rescue of a swimmer on her board and was awarded an Individual Certificate of Merit.
