Over the course of 20 years, we should phase-out coal as a more-moderate source and replace them with hydroelectric and nuclear plants all over the country in locations that are almost remote. The Mojave Desert being 48,000 square miles, there should be a place to put a few nuclear plants in the same general area with artificial cooling ponds lined with heavy plastic to not disturb the ecosystem. We should have tidal-hydroelectric generators every 5 miles along our coasts that work with coal on the East Coast, for there arent many remote locations on this side of the country to safely settle nuclear plants, even though they are already here. If you want to help sustain your own home, look into installing a geothermal unit to produce your own electricity just by using the natural heat of the Earth. Its not bad to go green, but dont be a greenie weenie.
