Over the next couple of months I will be posting past and current legends that help make Seashore the largest electric railway collection in the world. Here I focus on the classic chicken coop hunter himself Ben Minnich. I was lucky to be around in 1999 to go on the last Minnich tour to get a coop and bring it to Maine, that was Rochester 394 at Lake Lamoka, NY. George Sanborn, Fred Maloney, Conrad Miskek and myself. Ben was a former president of Seashore also, known best for his overalls and hard hat helmet. We love you Ben and we miss you dearly to this day! Your a Seashore legend in my book and if there was a volunteer hall of fame here you be in the first class for sure.
