Over the past few days I have visited local communities throughout the district to see the damages caused by last week flood. As everyone continues to work through their individual damage recovery it is important that we feed into the local damage assessments that are being processed through the counties and to the State. The State will then ask FEMA to verify the damage assessment prior to the State making a decision about initiating a federal request.
