Over the past few years I have met many of you through youth retreats, church services, camping, riding motorcycles, sharing a beer, or getting into trouble. But through all this I have expressed a desire to see the church reach people that feel disconnected from God, that have been hurt by the church, or feel rejected and not worthy. Through Gods grace I have been appointed to start a New church in Smyrna Tn. So, if in any of our conversations you have wanted to experience Christ in a way that is real, and share with people who may not feel welcome anywhere else, please come out this Saturday night to the Boys and Girls Club in Smyrna and hear about our church. We are gathering for worship at 6:00 and I will be preaching and sharing about how I feel the church is called to love. We are called Mercy Street UMC and we believe that there is a place for all who seek God in our worship and our community. For those that know me, you know I shoot straight with what I believe and that I will fight for those that feel they dont belong. Please come be a part of something amazing. God is doing something new!
