Oyinlola ,will he ever outgrow his Obinde traits ? Official age aside , Oyinlola should be more than six scores. He must have witnessed on earth more than sixty Christmas festivals,no doubt. At over sixty, whatever ailment of imbecility that have been tormenting him is expected to have disappeared with age. However, rather than disappear the ailment is getting more and more pronounced day after day. I was looking at this mans picture in his military uniform earlier today at a friends office. It was a picture taken when he was a Military Administrator in Lagos State. While looking,something refreshed in me the memory of that day Oyinlola, as Military Administrator,dressed in his well starched Military Uniform with several crease lines suddenly jumped out of his official car, a black 504 which was among several other convoy of vehicles and started running. He was running like Hussein Bolt. He was tearing through the crowd like a hot knife through a heap of butter. It was a gory scene. Many people in the densely populated Lagos area,on that morning started scampering into safety in different directions and without their knowing of the reason why a whole Milad embarked on such a race. A terrible commotion was caused. But what on earth could make a soldier and a State Administrator abandon his official convoy and and retinue of officers then took to his heels ? Guess what ? Alas, it became known to everybody that the then young Obinde was pursuing a mad man in the crowd because he made an abusive gesticulation against him. Were ya Ika si . The NTA relayed the news in the evening also newspapers. It was a headline story. A governor pursuing a mad man on the street. Only an Obinde person could do that. So,next time Oyinlola mis jives, never mind him. Just let out a smile as you remember this story. Akoni Oodua Ayeniromo...versus Obinde Part 1.
