Ozzie--by the way he is tied to the wall it looks as if he is a real danger--not the scared dog he really is. What a terrible picture of a beautiful boy. Naturally after they pushed him around he is NH only. And he is scheduled to die tomorrow. Please read his safer, which gives you a good idea of what these poor dogs go through. And then share Ozzie. 10/23/2013 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION - NH ONLY Exam Type BEHAVIOR Helper Dog: A0741186 Notes: Ozzie became over aroused during the Tag item and did a lot of body checking and constantly attempted to mount the assessors leg. Ozzie pulls on the leash, but was extremely excitable and was very interested in interacting with handler during assessment - licked hands and face. He became tense during some of the handling portions, but had soft body language. He became over aroused during the tag interaction and did a lot of jumping up and body checking. He growled and bit the assess-a-hand during the food bowl test. He took the toy away, body language was stiff and showed some concerning behavior during rawhide tests - stiffening and growling, but did not escalate to a snap or bite to the assess-a-hand. Ozzie rushed in quickly during the dog-dog test, but showed no aggression. Look: 1. Dogs eyes are averted. His ears are back, his tail is down. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessors cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, his eyes are averted, body stiff, mouth closed, lip long, ears likely back, may lip lick. Tag: 3. Dog responds with his tail high, ears forward, mouth likely closed for at least half of the assessment item, body stiff and body checks the Assessor. Dog is often focused on other stimuli in the room. Squeeze 1/2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Food: 5. Dog bit the assess-a-hand. Toy: 3. Dog takes toy away, keeps a firm hold. His body is stiff. Rawhide: 4. Dog freezes and growls. Dog-dog: 2. Dog approaches helper dog with tail at spine level, body not stiff, ears relaxed.
