P and L plate drivers caught speeding in Goulburn Area. Two separate inexperienced drivers have been caught speeding this afternoon, 10th October 2014 in the Goulburn area. At 2.10pm, a black Mazda 6 was detected travelling at 151km/h on the Hume Hwy, Goulburn. The 36 year old man from Castle Hill was stopped and produced a P1 licence restricting his speed to 90km/h. The man was issued a $2252 fine for the speeding offence and a $242 fine for not displaying P plates. He lost a total of 8 demerit points. The mans licence was suspended for six months. In the second incident, about 2.30pm on the Federal Hwy, Collector, a white BMW was detected speeding at 159km/h. The 22 year old man from Fairfield West produced a Learner licence, also restricting his speed to 90km/h. The man was issued a $2252 fine for the speeding offence and a $242 fine for not displaying L plates. He lost a total of 8 demerit points. His licence was suspended for six months. The passenger was also infringed.
