PAGASA Sever Weather Bulletin #1 for Tropical Storm #AmangPH issued at 5:00AM, 15 January 2015: THE TROPICAL STORM EAST OF VISAYAS HAS ENTERED THE PHILIPPINE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (PAR) AND WAS NAMED “AMANG”. • Estimated rainfall amount is from 7.5 – 20 mm per hour (heavy - intense) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Storm. • Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon and the Eastern seaboard of Southern Luzon and of Visayas. • The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11AM today. Location of eye/center: At 4:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm “AMANG” was estimated based on all available data at 950 km East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar (11.4°N, 134.4°E). Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph Forecast Movement: Forecast to move West Northwest at 19 kph. Forecast Positions • 24 hour (Tomorrow morning): 640 km East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar. • 48 hour (Saturday morning): 380 km East of Legaspi. • 72 hour (Sunday morning): 340 km East of Infanta, Quezon.
