PARENTS ALERT. FREE EYE EXAM AND GLASSES FOR STUDENTS. Fort Irwin schools are teaming up with Kids Vision for Life and VSP to bring a mobile eye clinic and volunteer staff to Fort Irwin. This Friday, 12 Sept., all schools on Fort Irwin have arranged for their students in grades 2, 4, 5, 7 and 8 to have individual eye examinations at their respective schools. Schools have already sent parents information about this event through their students. Schools have previously arranged eye examinations for students in grades K, 1, 3, and 6. On Saturday, Oct. 25, 10 am –4 pm, a Kids Vision for Life portable clinic set up at Fort Irwin Events and Catering Center (Sam Adams) will cut lenses for new prescription glasses for all students with valid prescriptions.
