PART TWO: They then moved to the dumpsite to capture its view which they then lied to the nation and the world at large that’s where the girls were taken to be raped after being captured. They then went on the rooftop of one of the building at the Good Shepherd High School where they captured the aerial view of Dandora’s Phase 3 estate. They finally went to another building in Phase 4 where they captured the aerial view of the whole area. After the shoot, the kids were each given KShs1000 and promised more after the story airs on Citizen TV. However, trouble started soon after. The kids started having squabbles about the money on who should get what and it was then that the story leaked out to the community. More trouble followed after Citizen TV started doing promos of the documentary that was set to be aired on Sunday (30th June) during the 7PM and 9PM bulletins. It’s at this juncture that the community’s suspicion of the story grew and immediately informed the authorities. Pastor Kamiri says that efforts to reach Mawathe bore no fruit adding that she had allegedly asked the administration to comment on who is responsible for the young girls attending “Jam Sessions” in town. Well, the story was aired on Sunday (30th June) and that’s when the community positively identified the voices and the dressing code of the children who were featured in the documentary. On Monday (1st July), the community members very quickly assembled and agreed to summon all the five boys and girls and give them a lecture of about the extent of the damage caused by their actions and the documentary by and large. It’s at that point that they confessed that they were lured with the KShs1000 token to pose as victims and perpetrators in the documentary. The community then unanimously agreed to reveal the whole truth and prove to Citizen TV that it’s story was fabricated. Pastor Kamiri has lodged complaints officially with Cabinet Secretary for Interior Government, his PS, Nairobi Senator, Mike Sonko; Women Representative, Rachel Shebesh, FIDA, COVAW among other authorities. (The video of the interview is currently uploading; as soon as it’s done it will be embedded.) I wonder what Citizen TV has to say about this. #_Ríos:
