PAUL BARRY Obituary | Condolences PAUL BARRY Obituary Paul F. Barry passed away on December 28, 2014 surrounded by loved ones. He was born in El Paso, Texas to Dave and Clara Belle Barry. He was the rock to our family, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He attended Ysleta High School where his love for football began. He received a scholarship to Tulsa University and then started his career with the NFL. He played for the Chicago Cardinals, Washington Redskins, and for the L.A. Rams, where his team was the first to win the world championship. He is an NFL alumni and was inducted into the El Paso Hall of Fame. In between his pro football career he was drafted into the Korean War. After accomplishing an amazing career in football, he returned to El Paso where he began his business in real estate and home building. He enjoyed time spent with his family and friends in Ruidoso and fishing in Mexico. He never knew a stranger and always had a gift of gab. Paul was survived by his wife Claudia; daughters Patty, Robin and Kellie; son Richard; granddaughter Kameron Miss America; sister Pat; brother Bill; best friend and brother-in-law Hi Dick; all the nieces and nephews; his best pal Abby, and all of his compadres. A special thank you to Dr. Branch Craig, caregiver George Guardado, staff members of Monte Vista, Hospice El Paso, Jr., and little Buck. Graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 2:00pm at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery Special thanks and honor to all people who touched his life and helped him through the path to ascend to heaven. It is an inspiration to live life and love life as he did.
