PAY ATTENTION That as Black people we have to come to grips with racism and how it effects us and our children, our communities. We have to be proactive and take action. The days of reacting and waiting havent gotten us anywhere. Most of all we have to get to an understanding that we dont deserve the oppression that we have accepted in one form or another since 1619. We dont have to agree on many things but this is one. Further, we have to get over stupid opt outs I am a lawyer I am not like those blacks I am yellow, or rich, or christian or have on a suit none of that will protect us or our children It is incumbent for every Black person, half black, wanna be black to learn everything possible x2 about slavery, segregation, racism and privilege. Knowledge is both a sword and a shield. there is lyric imagery in Ellison, Wright, Morrison, Baldwin that will inform, and protect the psyche of black souls. The information and power of Wells, Truth, Dubois Douglass. Get Free or Die Trying, is Tubman. When Douglass told the slaveBreaker, who boasted he had never failed to break a slave. well today is a good day to die Our children need to know this and so much more from King, X, Parks, Davis. And then we wouldnt put up with being second class citizens or worry about the knowles/carter/knowles feud or RHOA. There is a vested interest in making sure that we remain, ignorant and uninformed because it keeps us vulnerable.
