PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak Monday said that disciplinary action will be taken against officials not cooperating with the government in implementation of its agenda. Speaking in provincial assembly, the Chief Minister said criticism by opposition parties over performance of PTI government is unjustified as we have just completed 60 days in office. He said that steps being taken by PTI government in two months are historic and having no match in the 60 years history of the province. However, we need time of three months after which people will observe a positive change in functioning of government offices. “I am telling the government officials that August 15 is yellow line and August 30 is red line for implementation of the directives given by provincial government otherwise strict action will be taken starting from the top brass,” Khattak warned. He said after August 30, he will take assembly members to all government departments to see smooth functioning in government department. “After completion of three months, no bribe will be witnessed in government department, no commission, no disparity,” Khattak claimed. He also rejected the criticism over load shedding and said it is a federal subject and provincial government should not be blamed over the issue. We have no concern with this because, the department does not come under our purview, he reiterated. Chief Minister also asked the Opposition MPAs to visit different departments after August 30 and point out loop holes after inspecting the working. Opposition is part of government and we will give due consideration to their suggestions. Pervez Khattak also criticized past governments over poor state of affairs of different government departments. He said it is very daunting task to streamline these government departments, but we are determined. Earlier, Provincial Minister for Health, Shaukat Ali Yousafzai apprised the house that a new Health policy is on the anvil and after July 30 all the deficiencies in government hospitals will be fulfilled. “I have communicated to Medical Superintendents of all the government hospitals to submit point out shortages in all respects including doctors to medical equipment and after July all these shortages will be fulfilled,” he added. Health Minister said the working group has completed its suggestions and new Health Policy will soon be introduced after which people will feel improvement in working of government hospitals
